Overview

Illinois State Board of Education is authorized by the state to administer construction standards for public school buildings. 105 Il. Comp. Stat. 5/2-3.12 (School Building Code). The Illinois State Board of Education enforces the following codes:

International Energy Conservation Code, 2009 edition.

International Existing Building Code, 2009 edition.

International Fire Code, 2009 edition.

International Fuel Gas Code, 2009 edition.

International Mechanical Code, 2009 edition.

International Property Maintenance Code, 2009 edition.
